Questions

Things schools ask before they start.

Does the school pay anything?
No. Classframe is free for schools to set up and use. Families choose to activate an annual plan for each child, at a price agreed with the school.
How does AI recognition know which child is which?
Each student has a small set of reference photos (uploaded by the school, or by a parent with consent). New photos are compared against those references. Above the school's confidence threshold a match is accepted; in the middle it goes to a short review queue; below it the face stays unidentified.
What if the AI gets it wrong?
Medium-confidence matches never reach a family without a human confirming them. Admins can also reassign or remove any match after the fact, and every change is recorded in the audit log.
Can we turn recognition off?
Yes. Recognition is per school and can be switched to manual review only, or disabled entirely. Albums can then be shared with classes or registered families instead.
Who can see a photo?
That depends on the album's privacy mode: public, registered families, selected classes, or matched only (the default). Parents must be approved as a student's guardian before they see anything at all.
How do parents activate?
The school hands out coupon codes — printed, emailed, or via the class group. A parent adds their child, enters the code, and the year's plan activates immediately. No card details are collected in the current version.
What happens to face data when a student leaves?
Face profiles can be deleted by the school at any time, and the deletion is audited. Reference photos and embeddings are removed together.
